Philosophy: "Genetics loads the gun, environment pulls the trigger"

This statement is MUCH more important that many people realize.  Even people who realize what it means often completely fail to put it into practice correctly.

Let's break this down a bit.

If "genetics" load the gun, and genetics can't be changed, then the gun is always loaded no matter what you do. Why waste time and energy trying to fix something that cannot be changed?

A loaded gun sits there and does nothing to anyone. It is the act of pulling the trigger that does EVERYTHING.

"Environment" means the cellular "soup" that the genes are marinating in all day long, every day.

Fixing the health "environment" in my world = "Give the body what it needs, help it get rid of what it doesn't want, then get the heck out of the way."

I am getting amazing results by changing the environment and stopping the trigger from being pulled.

Until the environment has been properly dealt with, both in terms of removing toxicities and restoring nutrient status, genetics is a secondary concern at best.

This is why focusing on genetics first is a fool's errand.
