*work in progress* Beta-glucan

https://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnme/2012/851362/ (beta-glucan)

beta-glucan is similar to cyclodextrins (still researching this)

2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin has been shown to be safe and has been used to solubilize vitamin A, which allows urinary excretion as a method of ridding retinol from the circulation.158

Beta-glucan can also be broken down to butyrate (see thread on butyrate):

https://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnme/2012/851362/
"It should be well noted that differences between soluble fibers in the relative production of acetate, propionate, butyrate, and total short-chain fatty acids do exist. Oat ?-glucan ferments more rapidly than guar gum, reflected in higher concentrations of total short-chain fatty acids, in general, and of acetate and butyrate, in particular [32]."

Oats and barley are the highest foods in beta-glucan. Must be organic to avoid the glyphosate/Round-Up and organochlorine pesticide issues with Poison/"Vitamin A" activity increases (among other things).
